It’s raspberry season over at my mother-in-law’s acreage and they sure are plentiful this year. I don’t know what it is, but this year they are especially sweet.
So what to do with a huge amount of raspberries? Make jam! My recipe is simple: equal cups raspberries and sugar, a little bit of lemon or lime juice, and boil them until the pink foam stuff is basically gone.
I’ve learned from previous years not to be so ambitious in my jam making. Two or three jars at a time is plenty to manage for this girl. (There was this one time the summer I had Dominic where I tried to make 12 jars of jam with two different recipes and make buns all at the same time. . . it didn’t go so well.)
As for the renos, I’m almost done in the living room! There have been some frustrations with this last wall, but I’ll tell you all about it when I’ve got it solved. Can’t wait to post the reveal!
Are you picking raspberries this year? What’s your favourite way to enjoy them?
