Half Way There in the Living Room

2of4post

We are officially half done the living room walls!  I sampled the grey shade that Jacqueline suggested, but it just seemed too dark (if you can believe it) for our north facing window.  So I went with white and am loving the result.  Almost all the pins in my Dream House board on Pinterest are mainly white rooms with pops of colour.  Do what you love, right?

I still wanted some grey, so I decided to paint the doors in Country Chic Paint’s Lazy Linen.  It’s pretty light in the picture, but it looks darker in real life.  If you’re wondering why there’s spots on the floor, we’ll be ripping out the hardwoods hopefully at the end of the summer, so there’s no need to be careful when painting.  There’s pet stains in the wood, so we can’t save them like we originally hoped.

If you like the flowers and the side table, you can read about them in their links.  What do you think?  Certainly better than this. . .

Although, I think we’ll keep the sweet little boy. 🙂

What do you think of the look in the living room so far?
