Today’s contributor, Sandy Weyland, is my Aunt and is known in the Weyland family as the one who makes THE BEST squares. All of us cousins complain bitterly about how many calories are probably in everything, yet find ourselves coming back for more, one “Grandma Weyland slice” at a time. For the uninitiated, a Grandma Weyland slice is when you cut a piece of baking in half, intending to eat just that one half to save calories. 5 minutes later you proceed to eat the other half anyway.
