Next Project: the Kitchen

The next stretch of days to renovate it finally here!!!  (Can you tell I’m excited?!). Today went much smoother than last time, and the Hermit took Dominic out for the morning, so I had the house to myself for three hours.

This week’s mission is to finish as much of the kitchen as possible.  I’m almost done painting the cabinets, and I’ve started on some of the walls.

The small cupboard-of-contention still needs us to sand the countertop more so it can be opened. So. Much. Sanding.

Right now our kitchen looks like some strange time warp, with parts of it being straight out of the 60’s, and others edging into the modern era.  I’m not looking forward to scraping off that wallpaper on the right. . .sigh.

So much better, right?

What? You want the two tone yellow cabinets to stay?!

I love yellow, but not that much.
