Homemade Coffee Creamer

It’s officially winter and the thrill of Christmas has passed.  What’s a girl to do?  Curl up with a good book and a cup of coffee.  About that coffee. . . why not try making your own homemade coffee creamer?

I don’t know about you, but even though I LOVE the store-bought creamers, they can leave my body feeling kind of gross after awhile.

Making your own homemade creamer is easier than you think.  Once you’ve got the basic cream/sweetened condensed milk, the flavour add ins are endless!  Think vanilla, hazelnut, mint, chocolate, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg. . . I’m craving a cup of coffee just thinking about it!

My favourite version uses whipping cream, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and cocoa powder.  The variations are endless and you control the sweetness.   If you’re like me and go through creamer at an astonishing pace, why not give it a try?

The shelf life is whatever the expiry date of the heavy cream is.  If you don’t use up coffee creamer that fast, use a can of evaporated milk instead.  Your creamer won’t be as creamy, but it will still taste delicious!
