Happy Birthday Shifting Roots! | SHIFTING ROOTS

Happy Birthday Shifting Roots!

We made it!  Shifting Roots is officially a one-year-old!

Last February this blog was just a crazy dream that I knew I had to pursue.  It still has a long way to grow, but it’s grown from 5 readers to close to 1000.  I’ve learned so much along the way and I’m so grateful to everyone who has read, commented, liked, shared, and participated in my blog.  It would be nothing without you.

Thanks to all of my friends who have kindly waited to eat so I could take pictures of the food for the blog, or held a leaky container of flowers so I could get “just one more shot.”  Thanks to all of my cookie testers who will be featured in an upcoming story, and to my choir for happily eating the leftovers of whatever sweet thing I’ve made lately.  My Mom is also a hero for letting me decimate her flower garden and always being up for one more craft project for the blog.

It certainly ended up being an entirely different blog than I imagined.  What was supposed to be a renovation and design blog has now turned into some sort of DIY-gardening-sugar addition-party planning-self improvement-and-sometimes-renovations-when-its-convenient blog-with-a-pinch-of-mommy-blogging.  Prairie Lifestyle?  Is that a thing?  Whatever it is, thanks for sticking with me.

Today I’m going to open it up to you.  What would you like to see?  More recipes?  Healthier Recipes?  Renovation tips and stories?  DIY projects?  Decluttering? Self Improvement?  Flowers?  (Okay, I know nobody actually likes the flower posts except me, I’ll be saving those for Instagram.)  Something else?

Let me know your top 3 in the comments!

P.S.- I’m THIS CLOSE to reaching 100 000 impressions per month on Pinterest, would you mind liking my profile and pinning a few of my pins that fit your boards?  I’d be happy to like you back.  Thank you so much!!

P.P.S- If you want to be featured on this blog and have a story you think my readers would like, let me know!

Okay, I’m done now.  🙂
